1. day VIENNA
Depart from Budapest. City break in Wien (Stephansdom, Graben, Hofburg), continue through Germany and Belgium. Sleeping overnight on the bus.
Arriving to England via Eurotunnel. Visit to Canterbury, including admission to the Canterbury Tales visitor attraction. The adventure begins in the Tabard Inn, where we will meet the first of the costumed guides, preparing you for our pilgrimage from London to Canterbury. To continue our experience, we are invited to share five of Chaucer's most famous tales, with the aid of an audio guide (commentary available in a special version in English for children and students). Arriving late afternoon at our accommodation.
You will enjoy a day discovering many of London's famous sights and landmarks: Westminster area, Big Ben, Whitehall, 10 Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, Changing of the Guard, St. James Park, The Mall, Piccadilly Circus, Soho, Chinatown, Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery.
We will visit Shakespeare's Globe and take part in the Lively Action workshop which includes a guided theatre tour and lectures. The interactive lesson gives us the opportunity to discover the secrets of acting. Afternoon exploring the treasures of British Museum with our special quiz and free time shopping in Oxford Street.
Morning visit to The Bank of England. The audio-visual presentation covers some of the more interesting architectural aspects of the building. Then we will have a presentation and free talk covering the Bank's roles and responsibilities. Walking through the City to the Tower Hill and visit the Tower of London (The Crown Jewels, The White Tower, Medieval Palace, Scaffold Site). English guided tours by the Yeoman Warders are available.
Sightseeing in Rochester (Downtown, Guildhall Museum), and visiting Dickens World. The Grand Tour is a 90 minute interactive guided tour experience that takes visitors back in time to the Victorian England that Charles Dickens knew and wrote about in his novels and short stories. Explore the atmospheric streets, courtyards and alleyways of the 19th Century London. Afternoon channel crossing.
7. day ST PÖLTEN
Travel through Belgium, Germany and Austria, stopover in the baroque city of St. Pölten. Arriving to Budapest in the afternoon.
